VARMINT SHOOTING

The Encampment area offers the "World's Capital" on ground squirrel shooting. An unlimited amount of shooting for ground squirrel and prairie dog is available from May through August. This hunting is done on private land through arrangements we have made with the landowners. Now is the time to book!

We're back from SCI!

We're back from SCI. It was good to renew old friendships and make new ones!!!! We're looking forward to another great year and hope to be able to share our beautiful country and experience adventures with us. If you missed applying for your elk tag this year, call us about the second drawing. High altitude hunters in Colorado have to apply by April 1st.

In the picture we see our great friend and colleague Gene Carrico in the booth, and there's Ron with his back turned...hehehe

100 % success last year on private land!

Ray had patience. After a few tries he drew a limited quota permit for the private land we hunt. His reward was this 310 bull late in October 2007.

Paul and Steve both drew tags for private land. Archery is their game so we hunted during the rut in September. We saw non-stop action nearly all day, every day. Both had hunted elk on their own many times, however their first guided hunt provided them both with their first archery bull elk. Steve took this 6 point and Paul collected a 5 point in Sept. of 2007.

Our clients had 100% success on the private land and 100% shooting on public land.

How to get permits this year.

Permits are obtained by drawing for everything except bear, lion, and Colorado archery elk. Plans to apply for the 2008 season should be made as soon as possible - in January. We're at the SCI Convention!

This year the SCI convention is January 23, 24, 25, and 26 in Reno, Nevada. We'll be set up in booth 5314 by the registration and are excited to see you there. The Safari Club International is the leader in protecting the freedom to hunt and in promoting wildlife conservation worldwide!

The Convention is on! Ask any member who has attended the SCI Convention, and you will likely hear, “Wow! You’ve got to go. B&C Trophy Hunts

Ron Hale got an official B&C 86 Antelope this fall. He went hunting with his two grandsons. Everyone had great opportunities for shots at trophy antelope. Our guide was Starr Cooke.

Wild Horses Galore

Here is a great shot that Tom made on a photo safari earlier this year!

It was dusk, but Tom took a great shot anyway. If you look at the right hand side, the horses are going to water, but I guess a couple of them had to work something out first.
